Perlcom developed the database of the Mamanengane (meaning “mother and child” in isiZulu) Project for the Africa Centre for Health and Population Studies. This project produced significant research on breastfeeding by HIV positive mothers. We also implemented an innovative scanning data capture system, which allowed high volumes of data to be captured by scanning forms instead of traditional data entry methods. Perlcom also produced a comprehensive programme management and tracking system for the project, while also assisting with the sophisticated data analysis process.
